Monégasque brand Wally has recently sold a new cruiser-racer sailing yacht, the Wally 145.
The vessel features sleek exterior lines designed by the company’s Founder and President Luca Bassani in collaboration with Germán Frers, who was also responsible for the naval architecture, whilst the interiors were created by Droulers Architecture and Studio Sculli.
Built in carbon fibre, the Wally 145 has a length overall of 44.20m and a maximum beam of 9.50m. She can accommodate up to 8 guests in three comfortable staterooms, including a large owner’s suite with study and his-and-hers bathroom, and 8 crew members in four en-suite cabins.
Among the race-oriented features of this yacht are a lightship displacement of 171 tons, a lifting keel that reduces draught from 7.2m to 4.5m, and two retractable shaft lines.
Equipped with two MAN D 2676 LE 425 650hp diesel engines and twin 60kW electric motors, under power, the Wally 145 boasts a cruising speed of 15 knots.
The vessel is currently under construction at the Italian shipyard Persico Marine and is scheduled to be launched in May 2019.
