South African shipyard Southern Wind has recently launched the first unit in its SW96 sailing yacht series.
Christened Sorceress by her owner, who is a passionate yachtsman, this 29.30m vessel features sleek exterior lines and comfortable interiors designed by Nauta Design, whilst Farr Yacht Design was responsible for the naval architecture.
The interior layout features a large saloon located above the engine room, three en-suite guest cabins amidships, and an owner’s stateroom forward. The crew quarters include two cabins for 4 members, two heads, and a spacious galley that opens onto the crew mess.
Among the race-oriented features of this all-carbon cruiser-racer are a lightship displacement of 57 tons, a lifting keel that reduces the draft from 5.4m to 3.4m, and a twin-rudder configuration.
Scheduled to be delivered in May, Sorceress will be on display at the 2017 Monaco Yacht Show.
