French shipyard JFA Yachts has received an order for a new power catamaran, the first unit in its Long Island 78′ Power series.
Designed by naval architect Marc Lombard in collaboration with Franck Darnet Design, which will be responsible for the interior styling, this aluminium and composite yacht will have a length overall of 23.72m, a maximum beam of 11.17m and a draught of 1.24m.
Once delivered, she will be able to accommodate up to 10 guests in five staterooms, including a large owner’s suite located amidships in the port hull.
Among her amenities, the Long Island 78′ Power will feature: an alfresco dining area on the flybridge; a seating area and a Jacuzzi on the foredeck; and an outdoor lounge, a well-equipped galley, a dinette and a wet bar on the main deck.
Equipped with two 500hp diesel engines, the catamaran will have a maximum speed of 15 knots and a cruising speed of 12 knots.
