Dutch shipyard Heesen Yachts has today announced the delivery of the 55m superyacht Laurentia, previously known as Project Alida.
Engineered by the yard’s in-house team of naval architects in collaboration with Van Oossanen, this steel and aluminium yacht features a masculine exterior profile designed by Omega Architects, whilst her interior was styled by Miami-based design studio Radyca.
Thanks to an internal volume of 740GT, Laurentia can accommodate up to 12 guests in six cabins: a spacious owner’s suite located forward on the main deck, and a full-beam VIP stateroom, two double and two twin guest cabins on the lower deck. The crew quarters are situated in the bow and include a dinette, a galley, and six cabins; whilst the captain’s stateroom is on the upper deck.
Powered by two MTU 8V 4000 M63 1,000kW diesel engines, this Fast Displacement motor yacht has a maximum speed of 16.6 knots and, thanks to a fuel capacity of 100,000 litres, a range of 4,500nm at a cruising speed of 13 knots.
