Damen announces launch of 69.15m Yacht Support vessel Game Changer

Dutch shipyard Damen has announced the launch of a new 69.15m Yacht Support vessel, Game Changer.

She represents the fourth Damen YS vessel in the 70-metre segment and is a sistership to the YS6911 Intrepid, which was launched last year.

“Our clients want to go to exciting new destinations with less established superyacht infrastructure and they want to have more fun with larger tenders, helicopters and submersibles,” comments Mark Vermeulen, Damen Product Director. “They also want to take more staff, guides, pilots and security personnel with them. Game Changer is the massive leap forward in capability that they need, but at a much lower cost than a larger yacht. Plus, they get all the benefits of flexible operations and privacy.”

Game Changer features a fully-certified helipad, as well as a hangar below that protects the helicopter from the elements. In addition, this YS6911 vessel boasts 250m2 of open deck space for tenders and toys, whilst below deck there is a further 110m2 storage space.

She also includes offices, facilities and accommodation for 22 crew and staff members.
