Italian shipyard Cantiere delle Marche has today announced the launch of the third unit in its Darwin Class 102’ series.
Christened Galego by her owner, this 30.80m explorer yacht has a steel hull and an aluminium superstructure designed and engineered by Hydrotec, whilst Italian architect Pierluigi Floris was responsible for her interiors.
Thanks to an internal volume of 244GRT, the vessel can accommodate up to 8 (+2) guests in four cabins, consisting of an owner’s suite, a VIP stateroom, and two twin guest cabins. Accommodation-wise, she also has three crew cabins and a captain’s stateroom, this latter cabin is located on the upper deck, behind the wheelhouse.
Among the amenities of Galego are a lounge bar and a fitness area with pool situated on the sundeck, an alfresco dining area on the upper deck, a comfortable saloon on the main deck, and a spacious garage, capable of housing several toys, aft on the lower deck.
Powered by two Cat C18 ACERT 500kW diesel engines, the Darwin Class 102’ has a maximum speed of 13 knots, a cruising speed of 11.5 knots, and, thanks to a fuel capacity of 40,000 litres, an outstanding range of 4,700nm at 9.5 knots.
The yacht will be on display at the 2017 Cannes Yachting Festival.
